The personality behind the portrait
From a quiet oracle to a chaotic trickster, every conversation begins with character.
Project notes
More than a name and a picture
A portrait can suggest a whole personality before it says a word. XFriends pairs each character’s artwork and story with a description of how they speak, what interests them, and the way they approach a conversation.
That is why a measured answer from Sigil should feel different from a playful reply from Flister. The character’s point of view is part of the experience, just like their silhouette or favorite outfit.
Try a conversation
Open a friend and choose the chat action to meet them in conversation. Ask about their story, give them an unexpected scenario, or simply say hello. The selected character gives the conversation its starting personality.
Conversations begin with a written greeting. If replies are unavailable, the chat says so and lets you try again. Generated replies can make mistakes, and a fictional character’s confidence should never be mistaken for reliable financial or other professional advice.
Room to grow
An expressive voice and a personality that develops over time are part of the direction being explored. Those ideas need careful choices about memory, consent, and how much a character should change. The current preview is a place to get to know the cast while that experience takes shape.
